The publications and their relations.

The Law of Logic, Governed by lies, and False Pretensions are the basic publications of Rubens Publishing.
The Law of Logic is only available in Dutch, with the title Het recht van de logica. For the time being, translation is not being considered. A summary is available at www.lawoflogic.net.
Communication and norms is an improved version of an essential part of The Law of Logic, if not the most essential part.

Communication and norms provides the normative reference frame for the other publications. In so far as “good” and “bad” can be defined objectively, this is done in both The Law of Logic and Communication and norms.

The major part of Governed by lies consists of about thirty studies of more or less independent cases. The cases were chosen because of their relevance for the understanding of history and the modern world. The studies were not only made in order to improve understanding, but also to find out what can or needs to be done to prevent similar misery in the future. The book is extensive because it wants to be a reliable base for the proposition that survival of mankind requires far-reaching changes in the organization of society.

False pretensions is a concise inventory of the most important observations of the preceding publications. In some parts there are minor improvements. It is not however an independent work. It is based on The Law of Logic, and, mostly, on Governed by Lies. Together, Governed by Lies and False Pretensions make history and the present understandable. Both books moreover show that another organization of society is possible; and necessary if mankind is to survive.

As part of the work for Governed by Lies, studies were made of the Dreyfus Affair and of the writing of the history of French public finance around the time of the death of Louis 14. For the last study a pdf version was made of the Histoire du parlement de Paris of Voltaire. Rubens Publishing has the intention to publish the three books which embody the findings of these studies in 2025.
